Processing of MREG MRI data
Lampert, Frederik ; Mikl, Michal (referee) ; Gajdoš, Martin (advisor)
MR-encephalography (MREG) is an innovative method of ultrafast magnetic resonance imaging. Most of the publications about this method are concerning about acquisition and reconstruction of raw data. Studies dedicated to standardization of preprocessing MREG data have not been published yet, which led to motivation of creating this bachelor thesis. The main goal of this thesis is to set an optimal way of preprocessing MREG data, which could be advised for future studies utilizing this method. The main goal of this work was divided into several subgoals, consisting of making a literary review, implementation of general method for data preprocessing and suggesting an alternative ways of data preprocessing and their implementation into MATLAB programming language. Suggested ways of data preprocessing were evaluated by created criteria, described in this work. Results of the evaluation were discussed and interpreted by graphs. Based on the results of the evaluation, an optimal way for preprocessing data was set. It consists of movement and geometric distortion correction accomplished by SPM Realign & UNWARP function, spatial normalisation to EPI MNI template and spatial smoothing by Gaussian kernel.
The Body as a Fragment
Dohnalová, Tea ; Sobotka, Jiří (referee) ; Gabriel, Michal (advisor)
In my Bachelor Thesis I focused on masks as an authentic imprint of human face. My intention was to verify the possibility of working with specific people in the broadest possible spectrum. My work has both artistic and psychological extent. I work with human identity and its forms within different social roles. This work is time consuming. I make plaster casts of faces of many dozen people. After removing, I get a form from which I cast the final form of masks. I work with a polyester resin that I mix with other materials. This gives me very different structures, colors and the appearance of masks. In this way I try to emphasize the differences of individual people. Every specimen is original, exceptional and inimitable.
The Dangerous Method # 19
Staněk, Jiří ; Kowolowski, František (referee) ; Mikyta, Svätopluk (advisor)
I'm working with photographs of Sigmund Freud's apartment and creating their pseudo reconstruction. I'm trying through technique of linocut uncover light from black and white photos taken by documentarist Edmund Engelman in Vienna in 1938. I'm revealing volumes of individual fragments, which light falls on. Exposed light I keep for myself, for some melancholy reasons, and store it in glass jars. It is negative and final linocut represents positive. Atmosphere of pictures from Edmund Engelman's book has a big influence on me as well as Robert Longo's cycle Freud Drawings. Their atmosphere is catalyst for my own art solution.

Understatement during forming a dramatic figure
Kučera, Jáchym ; KORČÁK, Jakub (advisor) ; SCHEJBAL, Milan (referee)
Goal of my thesis is to find a balance between inner and outer diskurse during forming a dramatic figure. Is it possible to stand during forming a dramatic figure only on pedestal of outer acting without an inner contribution? How complicated is to distinguish between succesful pretending and being on stage as an individual actor/figure. But what is the magic? Why we are satisfied only by viewing and listennig actors from outer perspective? These are questions. I am asking myself during whole thesis. I am finding the answers using my experiences gained during my last year when have created several dramatic figures on stage in Disk theatre, the last place when I could feel protected from outer theatre space. Keywords: Inner, outer, understatemant, forming, mask, mustre, charakter, acting
Divadlem k vývoji - vývojem k divadlu
Siersch, Clara ; OSWALDOVÁ, Petra (advisor) ; LOTKER, Howard Scott (referee)
Vlastní zkušenosti s představeními s maskami, a s maskami použivanými v terapii se porovnávají s teoretickým pozadím práce s maskou a filozofickými nápady o neutralitě. Předpoklad je ten, že v nicotě je pojmuto všechno. Žádný stres.
If the Anger Dances
Cieslarová, Olga Věra ; PILÁTOVÁ, Jana (advisor) ; KOUBOVÁ, Alice (referee)
My doctoral thesis If the Anger dances - Fasnacht in Basel and the Velvet Carnival of Prague continues on topics, already researched for my master thesis and published as Fasnacht – a carnival in Basel in 2013. Now I deeply analyse the evolution of masks (Laarve) and a stream of inner revolt (Wilde Fasnacht). As well I show evolution of Fasnacht since the end of 19th century into the present form that grew into some archaic characteristics. From outside looks Fasnacht as a firmly structured ritual, but from inside shows an extraordinary ability of inner changes and flexibility. By presenting different forms of changes I tend to find principles that keep Fasnacht alive in the modern times. Since six years, throughout my whole doctoral studies, I devoted myself to organise the Velvet Carnival in Prague, a carnevalesque celebration that is directly inspired by Basler Fasnacht. At the end of my thesis I am presenting basic elements we transferred from the original and try to evaluate how those elements live in the new background. In the context of Basel and Prague I thematise a creative potential of anger that can be manifested in an artistic way. So do I show Fasnacht and Velvet Carnival as a cultivated form of middle-age Rough music and as a creative manifestation of active citizenship. Part of my thesis is a documentary film Beneath the mask, there is darkness (made by Viola Ježková) and a book of 5 Years of The Velvet Carnival.
USAGE OF THE ANIMAL MASK IN THE DANCE PERFORMANCES
Kalivodová, Anežka ; SMOLÍK, Robert (advisor) ; BAŽANT, Jan (referee)
This thesis concentrates on the subject of use of the animal masks in the ritual ceremonies and dances. In the theoretical part of the thesis I try to describe on several examples different points of view of divergent cultures on a mask production and mask dances. The second part of this thesis describes my work during the preparation process of the performance using animal masks.
